CONCEPT Satya Paul launches its much awaited finale line of the collection co-designed by the first lady of Bollywood, Gauri Khan, titled ‘Cocktails and Dreams’. The brand has constantly redefined and recreated its design ethos and sensibilities from time to time. Having pioneered the Indian Fashion Industry for over three decades, the Spring Summer collection focuses on the flamboyance and vibrancy of bold hues taking its inspiration from the textures and layering symbolized by some of the most iconic cocktail drinks. The line continues to explore the freshness of colours, prints and silhouettes with delicate lace work and intricate embroidery. The season is an amalgamation of signature Satya Paul prints infused into newer fabrics and silhouettes.
PRINT Drawing inspiration from some of the famed urban cocktails, the prints are a reflection of the colour gradients and accents associated with them. Amongst the collection, few of the prints are inspired from crystalized ice structures and its texture. This collection is a strong mélange of traditional yet futuristic artistry, featuring newer prints in a tryst of classic and electric colors.
SILHOUETTES Gauri Khan’s effortless and graceful aura is reflected through fluid, leisurely separates that are easy and yet make a bold statement. The collection offers modern, relaxed silhouettes which are perfect for daywear with mesh inserted sheer shirts and tunics. For the evening, the collection has options that are more structured with dreamy drapes and stylized elements. With free-flowing layers and cuts, the collection has been designed for a modern day, independent Satya Paul woman who is sophisticated and experimental, yet without compromising on her comfort.
COLOURS The collection reflects a colour story inspired by the burst of shades seen in the dazzling cocktails; an effervescent and innovative colour palette comprising of a riot of colours ranging from pastels to fiery cherry reds. The collection comprises of a vibrant and unique array of shades from Amber and Burnt Orange to hues of Cranberries and Lagoon with a dash of metallic accents adding a unique twist to the classics.
FABRICS Encompassing a blend of traditional mystique and contemporary glamour, satins and georgettes remain essential to the collection with the addition of flat silks. The collection consists of a range of exotic blends of crepe and georgette combined with luxe organza and silks. A variety of embellishment techniques of laser cutting and foiling, with lace, dori and resham embroidery are skillfully woven into the fabrics.
ACCESSORIES The collection includes a modern range of scarves, ties, pocket squares, bags and clutches. This season Satya Paul reinvents its accessories with a larger collection of metallic clutches, printed totes with laser cut work, slouchy slings, messenger, and oversized bags. The bags include a metallic lining inspired by the rim of a glass.
The SS’ 16 range sees a wider variety of Men’s accessories than ever before with the introduction of slim 4MM and crystallized series of ties, including a special range of bespoke corporate gifting sets.
BRIDAL Owing to the popularity of the Bridal collections, the new season continues the Bridal assortment offering contemporary silhouettes by keeping the ethnicity intact with carefully chosen fabrics and materials. The colour palette is undoubtedly striking and opulent, perfect to grace the classic Indian bride. A variety of embellishment techniques have been used, including fine crystal work, foiling and hand crafted embroidery. The collection is a contemporary spin on the classic trousseau staples with signature Satya Paul print infusions with lace.
CLUB SP This diffusion line marks the foray for the brand’s debut into the bridge-line segment. The namesake collection comprises of tops, jackets, scarves and tunics. Minimalistic and clean lines with an edgy play on colours, this range caters to the sensibilities of the Youth. The garments are high on functionality with various ways of pairing pieces together and giving the customer ample opportunity to explore their own fashion individuality. The range delivers the perfect solution for women’s work wear as well as for easy day-to-evening transitions, keeping practicality at its core.
