by Chaitanya Padukone - Seasoned Bollywood lead actor Rahul Roy ( of ‘Aashiqui’ fame) seems all poised to enter the OTT web-series-zone, as was evident with his striking presence at the Rapchee OTT App launch rocking party hosted by showbiz visionary Dharam Gupta. When quizzed about his game-plan, the ‘single-but-not-hunting-to-mingle’ Rahul disclosed that he is “definitely game for acting in web-series, provided the role was overtly exciting and the script was logical. There is no harm in showing explicit sexual content , but since there is no censorship, it should be logically justified and not meant just for titillation,” shrugged the ‘Bigg Boss-1’ winner Roy boy who was escorted by his “adopted sister” actress Priyanka Roy. The unveiling of their logo event of the OTT Rapchee App organised by dynamic Dharam Gupta at Ramada Palm Grove Hotel emerged a star-studded affair that included celebs like the ‘Bigg Boss-12’ model-singer Jasleen Matharu (she has now signed two movies), Kangana Sharma ,Gauhar Khan, Nigar Khan, Gehana Vasisth, Rushad Rana, Shweta Khanduri, Jyotsna Chandola, Tinaa Ghai, Yogesh Lakhani, Hemant (‘Tarzan’) Birje, model-actress Linisha Basu ( from Chicago-U.S.), Adi Irani, Homi Wadia and of course Rahul Roy. The event which was anchored by vivacious model Dr. Saundarya Garg ,also had sensuous web-sensation Kangana Sharma putting up a lively dance performance. Declared Dharam Gupta, “ The subscription is free for a year and while the customers will get a taste of great Indian content, there will also be a lots of international content up for consumption on this app. We are set to start streaming on ‘Rapchee’ by end of September. For me good scripts that assure original entertaining quality content are of prime importance. Most of the bigger apps are more interested only in big names and popular face-value and content is damned. To cater to Pan-India audiences, our shows will be available in ten different regional languages ,” disclosed Dharam.
