Aishwarya starrer ‘Sarbjit’ in the list of films competing at the Oscars

The year 2016 has come to an end and it’s that time of the year when some of the outstanding films of Bollywood are going to get it’s much deserved recognition through award ceremonies. One such exceptional film, which had received great accolades by audiences, critics and industry, was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Sarbjit’ which now is all set to compete in the prestigious 2016 Academy Awards or Oscars.

After her so called “come back”, the former Miss World has showcased her acting prowess through varied roles that she chose to essay. She played a lawyer and a mother in distress in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’; a head strong and loving Punjabi woman struggling to get her brother out of a jail in Pakistan in Omung Kumar’s ‘Sarbjit’ and a complete opposite avatar as a beautiful, graceful and sovereign poetess in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae dil Hai Mushkil’.

Helmed by Omung Kumar, ‘Sarbjit’ portrayed the heart wrenching story of the innocent farmer Sarbjit Singh (Randeep Hooda) and his sister Dalbir Kaur’s (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) relentless struggle to rescue him from a Pakistan jail. The leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was seen in a never seen before avatar and had greatly worked on her look and performance in the film had received phenomenal appreciations from all over the world. It is had also premiered at the prominent Cannes Festival 2016, where global cinema lovers and filmmakers had acknowledged this masterpiece.

Aishwarya has been winning hearts ever since her stint in the film industry and has been everybody’s heartthrob weather she stars in a Bollywood film, Hollywood film or is seen in an ad commercial. She is one of the leading ladies in Bollywood who has the biggest brands in her kitty that have been loyal to her since over a decade. We wish her and the team of ‘Sarbjit’ all the very best for the Oscars and hope to see Aishwarya delivering more such performances in the future.
